Participants are encouraged to bring historical stories, pictures or artifacts to share. Question and Answer session included. Frank Levering (writer, actor, organic orchard owner and founder of Cherry Orchard Theater) will share historical information on Quakers settling at the foot of the mountain, the 1908 founding of the orchard and the birth of outdoor theatre in our area.
The Granite History Group is a monthly gathering of persons from around the city, county and region who want to share, learn, read, research, tell stories and laugh while discovering exploring and discussing all facets of history from across the region and around the world. It is a space for honoring, celebrating and preserving oral history.
