The Granite City History Group is a monthly gathering of folks from around the city, county and region who want to share, learn, read, research, tell stories and laugh while discovering, exploring and discussing all facets of history.
On Thursday November 7, special guest speaker Kate Rauhauser-Smith will talk about "Little Chicago to Mayberry" and the "seedier side" of our beloved town. She will regale us with stories of murder, mayhem, liquor running, and other nefarious deeds and the perpetrators who committed them. Attendees are encouraged to share historical stories, pictures, or artifacts pertinent to the topic at hand. There will be a Q & A session after the presentation.
Everyone is invited to this FREE gathering of adults who love history and storytelling.
