Each September the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History partners with the Surry County Historical Society and the Gilmer Smith Foundation to present "Local History Week." This special week of activities includes tours and program at several sites of local significance including the Edwards-Franklin House, the Gertrude Smith House, the Moore House and the museum.
