Return to Previous Page

Thomas Jefferson "Tommy" Jarrell, world acclaimed fiddle player, has left an important and fascinating legacy of music for us to enjoy. A fiddle Tommy bought as a child for $10 is now on display to the public in the Smithsonian Museum. Currently on exhibit in the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History are Tommy's favorite fiddle and an authentic record jacket from one of his original recordings. Also on display are various photographs of him and his family. Experience the legacy of Tommy Jarrell by visiting this new permanent exhibit. Many of his music cds and the classic DVD "Sprout Wings and Fly" are available for sale in the Museum Gift Shop, and also in the on-line gift shop at www.northcarolinamuseum.org.
